Philippine Food - Sweet And Fruity Jam

While other people crave for sausages, tapsilogs and other traditional Filipino food in the morning, there are some individuals who continue to be big lovers of jams. Regardless of whether its jam and pancakes, or jam and toasts or only jam and pandesal, this wonderful fruit spread has grown to be a choice of the Filipino food breakfast or agahan.

Pierre Marmonier made a decision to get away from his corporate position following 18 wonderful years of traveling all around the world and getting assigned to a different region every two to three years. It was June '09 the moment he and his family members went back to the Philippines to test their luck inside the Filipino food sector hence the jam company.

For Pierre, the creation of these sticky sweets demands brilliance. They enhance the fruit flavors by reducing the sugars in their jams, without having additives or artificial flavors added in. They produced their jam selection, and have fused each variety with various spices and flavors. Their top selling flavors are Mango ginger, Strawberry Banana, Mango Lavender, Pineapple Coco Rhum, and Mango Chocolate. A lot of the ingredients are inspired from our own Filipino recipes.

“We however, still have a very long way to go,” says Pierre, “We would like to extend our retail business and establish our presence. We're presently thinking about a brand new line in the jam segment and we will definitely look into the export marketplace come 2011. I would love to see top quality Philippine jam offered at hotels in Hong Kong and Singapore. I believe this is possible as long as you don't compromise on quality and hard work!”
